Forty Years in Uniformയൂണിഫോമിൽ നാല്പത് വർഷം

I joined the Indian Army in 1968, at the age of sixteen, and served for forty years, retiring as a Brigadier in 2008.പതിനാറാം വയസ്സിൽ, 1968-ൽ, ഞാൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ ആർമിയിൽ ചേർന്നു; നാല്പത് വർഷത്തെ സേവനത്തിനു ശേഷം 2008-ൽ ബ്രിഗേഡിയറായി വിരമിച്ചു.

Command & Serviceകമാൻഡും സേവനവും

I served in command, staff, and instructional appointments across the country. During the Kargil War of 1999, I commanded 315 Field Artillery Regiment in the Dras sector. I also commanded a Mountain Artillery Brigade in North Bengal, where I organised a demanding rescue and relief operation during floods in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal.രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കമാൻഡ്, സ്റ്റാഫ് ആൻഡ് ഇൻസ്‌ട്രുക്ഷണൽ പൊസിഷനുകളിൽ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. 1999 ഇലെ കാർഗിൽ യുദ്ധ സമയത്തു ഞാൻ ദ്രാസ് സെക്ടറിൽ 315 ഫീൽഡ് ആർട്ടിലറി റെജിമെന്റിന്റെ കമ്മാണ്ടിങ് ഓഫീസർ ആയിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ നോർത്ത് ബംഗാളിൽ ഒരു മൗണ്ട്ടൻ ആർട്ടില്ലറി ബ്രിഗെഡിന്റെ കമാണ്ടർ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ ജൽപ്പായ്ഗുരി ഡിസ്ട്രിക്ട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടായ ഭീകര വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഏറ്റവും ഉചിതമായി നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. തന്മൂലം ഒട്ടേറെ ജീവനുകളെയും സാമ്പത്തിനെയും രക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു.

Yudh Seva Medalയുദ്ധ സേവാ മെഡൽ

The President of India awarded me the Yudh Seva Medal in 2000, for distinguished service during the Kargil War.കാർഗിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിലെ വിശിഷ്ട സേവനത്തിന് 2000-ൽ രാഷ്ട്രപതി എനിക്ക് യുദ്ധ സേവാ മെഡൽ സമ്മാനിച്ചു.

I joined the Indian Army in 1968, at the age of sixteen, as an apprentice in the Corps of EME. I was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in 1977. I retired from military service in 2008, after forty years, in the rank of Brigadier. I served in staff, instructional, and command appointments in many parts of the country. My longest tenure was in Jammu and Kashmir, where I served for 11.5 years.

During the Kargil War of 1999 I commanded a field artillery regiment in the Dras sector, for which the President of India awarded me the Yudh Seva Medal on Republic Day 2000.

After retiring from the Army, I served for nine years in the corporate sector in Delhi as Head of Human Resource Development and Training and as Executive Director, before returning to my ancestral home in Chavakkad, Kerala.

1999-ലെ കാർഗിൽ യുദ്ധകാലത്ത് ദ്രാസ് സെക്ടറിൽ ഞാൻ ഒരു ഫീൽഡ് ആർട്ടിലറി റെജിമെന്റിനെ നയിച്ചു. കാർഗിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്ത സേവനത്തിനു കൊല്ലവർഷം 2000ത്തിലെ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ദിനത്തിൽ ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ രാഷ്‌ട്രപതി ഡോക്ടർ K R നാരായണൻ എനിക്ക്ദ്ധ യുദ്ധ സേവ മെഡൽ സമ്മാനിച്ചു. നാല്പത് വർഷത്തെ പ്രശസ്ത സേവനത്തിനു ശേഷം 2008-ൽ ബ്രിഗേടിയർ റാങ്കിൽ മിലിറ്ററി സെർവിസിൽ നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ചു. ആർമിയിൽ നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ച ശേഷം ഒൻപതു വർഷം ഡൽഹിയിൽ കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് മേഖലയിൽ പല ഉന്നത പൊസിഷനുകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ശേഷം 2016 സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ സ്വദേശമായ കേരളത്തിലെ ചാവക്കാട്ടെ പൂർവിക ഭവനത്തിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി. അന്ന് മുതൽ തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ പല വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് മോട്ടിവേഷൻ ക്ലാസുകൾ നടത്തിവരുന്നു.
